Test Gas
Today we enjoy a realistic approach to test gas, it is delivered in small disposable or recyclable cylinders, either steel or aluminum, very cost
effective, lightweight and easy to use, preset regulators allow the proper flow to the sensor with the operator only needing to open the valve,
accessories are offered such as, carrying case, tubing, regulators, for sensor Test Caps of Flow Covers, we use the original shipping cap that was
sent with your device, a standard vinyl cap plug also works very well, if you cannot locate one, please call and we'll ship you a selection for free,
when using a vinyl cap ensure that there are TWO holes poked into it, one will be for the regulator tubing and the other will be a vent, the vent
is required to ensure proper flow rating across the regulator, normal test gas flow is estimated at 3 minutes and a single cylinder is estimated at
12-20 standard test.
Soon we will be offering wall mountable flow stations, where test gas can be stored and tubing will be run throughout the building, allowing
reaction testing of any one detector while in operation, this will also allow the user to have one test station for multiple detectors while being on
ground level, no more ladders or hoist to test remote mount sensors.
Normal cost for test gas is less than $200USD and case or carrying kit with accessories is around $300USD, US Ground Haz Mat shipping is
around $50.
Greer Systems Automation Gas Detectors Range is located on the front of the detector, ensure that the appropriate gas and range is selected,
and choose Air as a balance whenever possible. When disposing or recycling empty test cylinders, ensure that all test gas has been expelled and
that the cylinder is EMPTY, any pressure even minor can cause serious injury.
All test gas should come with MSDS information, keep information close by, preferably with the cylinder, if you are missing or need additional
